Because I Kan Kan Kan: Mount of Beatitudes and Peter's Primacy

Ok..... So I have a little time today that I could add some more pics from my trip. I know it has taken me forever, but I have been super busy. I figure I will eventually get them all on here. After visiting Capernaum we headed to The Mount of Beatitudes. What a beautiful area it was. I remember walking around and feeling the spirit so strong. When we got there the sun was beginning to set and made for perfect picture taking. It was also nice because we had a wonderful devotional on the Beatitudes. I felt so peaceful here and there was a calmness and stillness in the air. It gave you time to really reflect on life and ponder what the speakers where saying during the devotional. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to come to this place and to be able to feel of the spirit that is there. What an amazing experience it was and the feelings I felt were very real. I know that the Savior delivered a beautiful sermon here and I am so thankful for the knowledge that I have and also what I learned from being apart of this tour.

The next stop that evening was to Peter's Primacy. This is where a church was built around the rock or area that they believe that the Savior stood and told his disciples to follow him. It is also a possible site of where one of the feedings took place. It was really pretty to be down on the shore of the Sea of Galilee as the sun was setting. We all went down and found sea shells from the Sea of Galilee and while we were down there Ron began to give us a short little thought. He said to all of us do you realize where we are? We are standing in an area where the Savior asked his disciples to follow him..... If we would have been there would we have left our nets and followed him? Better yet are we willing to do all that we can now to follow him? I love Ron because he always says the best things to make me really think about my life and if what I am doing is good enough. I am always wanting to be better and going on this trip really put things into perspective of what I need to do better in my own life. What a great evening it was to be able to contemplate and ponder about my own life and to feel of the spirit that was so abundant in this land!
